Here are 4 emails you should be putting in place to increase the number of purchases, repeat orders and repeat customers that come through your website.
- NEW SUBSCRIBER
The first email that you need to be setting up as part of your automated email marketing sequence is a new subscriber welcome email. You need to be welcoming each new subscriber that drops into your subscription email list and introduce them to the company and how you can help them and what you offer.
- BROWSE ABANDONMENT
The second email that I would set up is a browse abandonment email. When someone goes onto your website and takes a look at particular products, you want to encourage them to go back to the website and add that to their cart and make a purchase. By showing them the same products they clicked on, it encourages them to remember that product and actually go ahead and make that purchase.
- ADD TO CART ABANDONMENT
The third email that you need to set up is an add to cart abandonment email. If someone has gone to your website, found the product they love, added it to their cart, but then come away from the website. Perhaps they got distracted or they’re leaving it in their cart ready for payday, you need to encourage them to remember to go back to your website and make that purchase. By sending them an email, with perhaps offering an offer or free shipping, you can encourage them to go back and make that purchase and get that sale for your company.
- POST PURCHASE
The fourth and final email that you will need to set up is a post-purchase email. When a customer makes an order, it’s really important that you have the right infrastructure in place so give them an order confirmation email. And within that email, thank them for that order. You can also take that opportunity to perhaps suggest upsells and cross-sells of complimentary products or similar products that they may wish to add on.
All of this will help you to increase the number of orders that you get, increase the number of repeat customers that you get, and increase the number of repeat orders that you get through your business, making your ads more profitable and making your business stronger and more able to scale and grow.
